Direct Part Marking (DPM) can be achieved in a single part machining process using a CNC interface developed by Grattan. This eliminates the need for a secondary Part Marking process such as laser etching. Using DMP at the machining phase of production enables parts to be tracked from their creation and throughout their entire production life cycle.
Modern inspection cameras are a far more reliable method of verifying the critical features of a component than the naked eye. Here at Grattan, we have developed interfaces that monitor component production and capture critical feature details which can be logged for future analysis.
Our suite of software interfaces includes high speed camera systems which allow for recognition and verification of part labels as they pass on a high speed production line. These interfaces can also provide feedback allowing the implementation of sorting and rejection sub-systems.
